Body as Healer

Peter A. Levine, PhD, has spent decades exploring the root causes of chronic pain—root causes that are often mysterious and difficult to diagnose.

As the founder of the world-renowned Somatic Experiencing® approach to healing trauma, Peter has worked with thousands of people on their deepest and most intractable healing challenges. Through his work with clients and students, and training thousands of Somatic Experiencing teachers over the past five decades, he made a series of remarkable discoveries about how to help people release and resolve chronic pain through a series of practices he calls Body as Healer. His methodology is based on a series of insights about the healing process and the connection between trauma, the nervous system, and chronic pain—and how body-based exercises engaged with over time can play a critical role in healing.
Partnering with Sounds True, Peter is now offering this body of work on the healing of chronic pain in the Body as Healer online program. Over three years in the making, Body as Healer presents his powerful methodology and exercises through a supportive online learning matrix that is designed to help you individualize the practice and to support you in engaging with the exercises over time.Join Peter A.
